Tennis in the parks
In Waltham Forest, we have invested in our parks and tennis facilities to give you a wide range of tennis courts and facilities on your doorstep.
Abbotts Park
The courts in Abbotts Park have received a major makeover thanks to funding from the LTA and support from Sport England. There are four new-look courts which have been re-surfaced and made easier to get to, while two new mini courts have been created to help hone the skills of youngsters.
Memorial Park
Housing one of the many war memorials in the borough that commemorate those lost in battle, there is something for everyone. Four hard surface tennis courts are available to book through our new online system so you can book a court from anywhere you have access to the internet.
Lloyd Park
Lloyd Park was restored in 2012 with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund. You can now enjoy new facilities as well as benefit from tranquil green spaces and sporting activities. There are three recently refurbished tennis courts to hire through our new booking system.
Ridgeway Park
After a large investment from the Council and the Lawn Tennis Association, Ridgeway Park in Chingford now offers a large bright space with seven brand new full sized courts, six of which are floodlit and there are two brand new mini courts for youngsters to hone their skills.
